About Us

Pack Your Heat .com was founded by Christopher A. Bila to provide Texas CHL training to the residents of Texas. It is located in San Antonio, Texas and provides law enforcement quality instruction on the basics of carrying a concealed handgun under Texas Law.

Christopher and his staff are highly qualified and are certified by the NRA and the Texas Department of Public Safety. Pack Your Heat.com also conducts courses in Basic Firearms, and Advanced Defensive Handgun. Training is available to the General Public, Law Enforcement Personnel, Private Investigators, and Security Officers. Special Group Rates are available to Clubs, Companies, and Organizations.

Lead Instructor Christopher Bila holds a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Proficiency accredited by the National Rifle Association for both Handguns and Shotguns and is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Concealed Handgun Instructor.  Instructor Bila is a firearms expert and will provide detailed firearm instruction on every aspect of proper firearm safety, operation, usage, handling, storage, and range qualification.

Instructor Bila has attained Certification through the NRA as a Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor.
 
Course of study includes: Fundamentals of Marksmanship, Handgun Handling Techniques, Firearm Safety and Range Organization, Coach/Shooter Team Building, Loading and Unloading, Stances, Drawing, Ready Positions, Down & Scan, Holstering, Tactical & Speed Reloading, Trigger Control, Immediate Action Drills, Feed-way Clearance, Tactical Use of Cover & Concealment, Fundamentals of Distance, Shoot & Move, One-Handed Shooting, Kneeling Positions, Use of Cover, Methods of Instruction, Reduced Light Training, Target Transitions, Multiple Threats, Close Quarter Shooting, Flash-Sight Fire, Fundamentals of Shotgun Marksmanship, Shotgun Handling Techniques, Cruiser Safe & Ready Conditions, Shotgun Kneeling Positions, Shotgun Prone Fire, Shotgun Shooting on the Move, Select Loading, Moving Targets, Handgun Incapacitation Drills, Off-Duty Firearm Safety, and Developing & Conducting Practical Range Training.

Additionally, Instructor Bila has attained State Certification as a Concealed Handgun Instructor.  Course of study includes Fundamentals of Marksmanship, Handgun Handling Techniques, Firearm Safety, Chapter 9Texas Penal Code, Non-Violent Dispute Resolution, Carrying Places Where Prohibited under Texas Law, and Applying for a CHL under Texas Law.
