Congratulations on your decision to obtain your Texas Concealed Handgun License

Packyourheat.com  is here to provide the education and guidance you need to successfully get your CHL license.

The basic requirements that must be met to obtain your license are:

1. Complete a 10 hour training course provided by a Texas Department of Public Safety certified instructor.  Cost=$125.00.
2. During the course, pass a 50 question written test and demonstrate reasonable proficiency with a firearm.
3. Complete and return the Concealed Handgun License application packet along with you certificate of course completion to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Cost=$140.00.

It’s a fairly simple process.  Packyourheat.com will provide all the necessary training materials, the CHL Application packet, and the guidance necessary to successfully complete the process.  A more detailed explanation of the process can be found here.

Course Schedule

Register soon, classes fill up quickly.  It can take up to two months for the Texas Department of Public Safety to approve and issue you license after you have passed our course.  The sooner you put things in motion, the better off you will be.
